Lord’s University Match – Tickets now available
MCC has indicated that spectators will be allowed into Lord’s for the University Match on 23rd May and that tickets will be available during week commencing 10th May 2021.
The match is being used as a validation event, to prove the Covid-safe operational capabilities of Lord’s to Westminster City Council, the body which grants the Safety Certificate for Lord’s. Approximately 3,500 spectators will be admitted.
MCC has already solicited interest from groups such as schools and has opened their ticket website for MCC members to apply for tickets. MCC has indicated that this should be opened to a wider audience during week commencing 10th May 2021.
Tickets will be free of charge, but must be purchased in advance through the Lord’s ticket website. The tickets will have specific seat numbers that visitors must use.
It will not be possible to buy tickets on the gate and if any visitors leave the ground during the match, they will not be admitted.
MCC recommend that anyone wanting tickets should set up an account in advance so that they are prepared when the tickets go live. It will be possible to buy tickets in pairs for people attending with members of their own household or isolation bubble. The ground will be divided into three sectors and ticket holders will only be able to circulate within their allotted sector. The pavilion will be closed.
