The Club

Our Club

Cambridge University Cricket Club is the original Blues sport, with records dating back to 1820 and the first University Match against Oxford University played at Lord’s in 1827. CUCC has played at the historic Fenner’s Cricket Ground has been the home of the CUCC since 1848 and over the years, produced many great cricketers, including 21 test captains, 62 test players and many noted senior administrators.

Today, CUCC is a club of over 1,000 members.  These including approximately 100 students, spread across squads for men and women. The Club plays some 100 days of cricket each season, including annual matches against Oxford in the University matches (One-day and 4-day) and T20 games.  A broad range of other fixtures include the Services, MCC, Free Foresters and other wandering clubs, Irish and Scottish Universities, schools and clubs. We also play in the British Universities & Colleges leagues.

The Club also organises ‘Cuppers’, the annual summer inter-college cup competition.
