CUCC Women’s Captain for 2026-2027

I am Sarah Hofmann and have been elected captain of Cambridge University Women.

I am an architecture student at Girton College, University of Cambridge College, going into my third year of study; it is an honour to have been selected as Captain of the Women’s Blues. I have been playing cricket since I was about five and had the most wonderful coach during my years at Ightham Primary school who encouraged me to trial for Kent, for which I was selected for age-group teams: I also played at my school Walthamstow Hall School. Alongside my home club, Sevenoaks Vine, I play for the Marylebone Cricket Club and hope to be elected as a playing member in the near future. Architecture is a demanding degree, and I therefore relish the opportunity to head down to Fenner’s after a long day in the Studio and play some cricket. The 2026 match against the Afghanistan Women’s Refugee team was a real highlight from what proved to be a very strong season for the women’s side; I look forward to what this year has in store for CUCC.
